Hydrasec is a medicine for treating diarrhea. Hydrasec is used to treat the symptoms of acute diarrhea in children over three months of age. It should be taken with plenty of fluids in addition to the usual dietary measures. When these measures are not effective enough to control diarrhea, and when the cause of the diarrhea cannot be treated, racecadotril can be taken as an adjunctive treatment if the cause of the diarrhea cannot be treated.
